Welcome to Islamic Center of Irmo
The Islamic Center of Irmo (ICI), also known as Masjid Fatimah, (also previously known as the Irmo Musallah) is a South Carolina 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit religious organization that has been established in a geographically convenient location to facilitate the offering of 5 times daily prayers in the proximity of their homes for the residents of Northwest Columbia (Irmo, Lexington, Ballentine, Chapin, and Newberry, SC). ICI does not follow a specific school of thought, it is just a place of worship to establish the 5 daily prayers, worship in the month of Ramadan, and establish Zakat for the poor and the needy. - Taraweeh Prayers and Qiyam Al-Layl Prayers in Ramadan 2023 in planning Insha'Allah
Friday Prayers are held at Islamic Center of Irmo only on a special arrangement basis with the Khutbah starting at 4:15 PM. This arrangement is especially for school kids who cannot make it during school hours. We pray late on the basis of a fatwa/ruling from Imam Maalik which allows for late praying of Friday prayers.
We are also planning to offer a 2:00 PM Friday prayer Insha'Allah in 2023 due to some demand to have a regular Friday prayer session in the Irmo area.
